The new and real RProfiles:

Old RProfiles:

The old one is available for those who didn't have a chance to save their stuff before the old host pulled the plug. It is not for editing.
So, what is it?
I don't usually advertise things here, but RProfiles is totally worth it. Some of you already know about it, but for those who don't, RProfiles is a Wiki-based site where you can start your own pages for adding profiles of your characters and as much related information as you want to put down. The idea came from :devShadowKusatsu:, she is the mom. It is now hosted by Xeron on Digibase, so many thanks to him.
It works like Wikipedia. It is extremely useful for keeping a profile neat, tidy and simple to read. And it is easy to access for people wanting to role play with you, all you need to do is search for the character's name if the owner didn't already provide a link.
Oh, and even if you don't role play your character ( as I know a few people who write profiles for comics and videos ) and you just need a place to shove some information about it, you can still sign up and use it!
Here is a link to one of my pages as an example: >>> http://www.digibase.ca/rprofiles/index.php/Hathor <<<
Yours can look like that, but that isn't the only way you can set up a profile, others have gone for a wikipedia look, for example, but there are many ways you can set them up, just experiment.
If you're not familiar with Wiki, you can always ask for help. The help pages have yet to come, but should be up soon.
For now, I suggest Wikipedia's useful guide: >>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tutorial <<<
If you like the idea, and choose to use RProfiles, do pass the link around to your friends! Did I mention that it's free to use?
Rules.
Just a small number:
- Don't edit someone's pages unless you have permission to do so. There is a no editing tab you can add to a page, copy {{NoEditing|[[User:Hathor|Hathor]]}} to the top, replace my name with the user name you use on the site.
- Don't copy or steal. If someone has made a new profile layout and you want to use it, make sure you can before doing so. Don't copy other character ideas either.
- If a page name is taken, don't bitch about it. So if you have a character called John, and someone is already using the title, make a new page called "John(your username or series)" and all should be fine.
- Don't upload huge images, tone them down a bit, this isn't an image hosting site.
- Don't claim an official character as your own. If you want to make a page for Sonic, I guess you can, but others can add to it as long as the info is correct. Don't just slap an official character's profile from one site and into RProfiles, write it yourself.
